Facing Hard Medical Decisions Near the End of Life
Jack Schwartz, long-time Machar member, will cover the key choices to be made when doing an Advance Directive. He will include the differing perspectives among the movements in Judaism. His presentation will also touch on ways to better equip yourself or your loved ones to handle in-the-moment decision- making should such a crisis occur. Jack is a retired Maryland Assistant Attorney General. He was a Senior Consultant to the National Bioethics Advisory Commission Currently, Jack is a member of the Ethics Committees of two local hospitals and he serves on the Research Review Board at NIH.
