"Ain't No Back to a Merry-Go-Round" is relatively recent history and deeply personal to residents of Montgomery County. It is the story of Glen Echo Park in 1960, then racially segregated, and how students from Howard University, with the support of some white, largely Jewish neighbors, joined forces to challenge segregation and open the park.
Please stream the film on your own during the window we have the link available—this is a wonderful opportunity for small group watch parties. And then be sure to join us on December 14 in the all-purpose room during JCS or on zoom for small group discussion, popcorn, and cider.
